When customers make inquiries about tin box, they always ask us what raw materials we use. Today, Color Can works as one of professional tin can manufacturers will introduce to you two materials which are most commonly used in tin box production -- tinplate and frosted iron.

Tinplate

Tinplate is the most commonly used raw material for making tin boxes. It has the characteristics of non-toxic, corrosion resistance, high strength and good ductility.  In the case that customers do not have special requirements for material, the material we use by default is tinplate;  Tinplate surface is smooth, have strong sense of metallic luster, the printing color will be brighter after the white coating printing.

Frosted Iron

Frosted iron is added with frosted technology on the basis of ordinary tinplate. Its most obvious characteristic is that the surface looks granular. It is mostly used for boxes with no printing or part of printing with metallic texture.  If you like a simple high-grade metal granular box, frosted iron is a good choice.  However, because the production process of frosted iron is different from ordinary tinplate, its price will be a little higher.
