The printing of bottom is deformed

As mentioned in the case we posted earlier, there are many different structures of tin cans. Usually, a tin can consists of a top, a body, and a bottom. Each part is produced separately, so the design of the three parts is also printed separately. However, for a seamless tin, also known as a two-piece can, the body and the bottom are one piece, made from a piece of tinplate that is stretched together to form a seamless bottom. This structure causes the surface printing of the body and bottom to be stretched and deformed during stamping, resulting in the distortion of the pattern, as shown in the figures.

How to make design for the seamless bottom?

In order to avoid this problem, Color Can suggests that when designing the seamless tin, the product information of text should be designed at the bottom as far as possible, and the body should be designed in solid color or irregular pattern, as shown in the figures, so that the printing of the tin body will not become distorted due to stretching.
